3-Step Shower Reset: A Simple Body-Care Routine for Changing Seasons
When the weather starts changing, my body-care routine usually changes with it.
Some days I want something fresh and clean. Other days I want a warmer scent and a little more moisture. And sometimes my skin is simply asking for a little extra attention.
That's why I like a simple three-step shower routine: cleanse, exfoliate, moisturize.
You don't need a complicated lineup or a bathroom full of products. Just a few things you actually enjoy using.
Step 1: Start with a soap your skin enjoys
Your bar of soap sets the tone for the rest of your routine, so this is where I start.
If my skin needs a little extra love, I reach for one of my richer bar formulas, like the Cocoa Butter Cashmere Triple Butter Bar. It's made with shea butter, cocoa butter and mango butter, giving the bar a creamy lather and a more nourishing feel.
And if you prefer something fresh and clean, Eucalyptus Spearmint is one of my favorites. The eucalyptus and spearmint give it that crisp, clean scent I keep coming back to, while green tea and kaolin clay are part of the formula.
Want something a little more unexpected? My Orange Cognac Beer-Infused Soap is made with locally brewed beer and has a delicious citrus-forward scent with a warm cognac finish.
Step 2: Add an exfoliating step
You don't necessarily need to exfoliate every time you shower (it's recommended about 2-3 times a week). But when your skin could use a little extra attention, this is the step I like to add.
My Dead Sea Salt Scrubs and sugar scrubs give you options depending on the kind of experience you're looking for.
For something fresh and bright, Golden Lemongrass combines lemon, orange and lemongrass for a citrusy scent that feels clean without being too sharp.
For something softer, Lavender Drift brings a more relaxing scent to your routine. *A customer favorite!*
If need something to brighten and even tone, the Lemon Turmeric Brown Sugar Scrub is my go-to and personal favorite.
And if you're reaching for something that feels especially fitting as the seasons change, this is where I like to pay attention to what my skin is asking for rather than following a strict schedule.

Step 3: Finish with body butter
I never skip this step. No matter the season, I always moisturize. And my skin has thanked me for it.
After your shower, apply a little body butter while your skin is still feeling fresh and comfortable. My Shea Body Butter is made with shea butter and comes in several scents, so you can keep the same scent family going from your shower into the rest of your routine.
Vanilla Shea is my personal favorite, but other popular scents are French Lavender, Energy and Patchouli Sandalwood.
If you like your body care rich but don't want to feel coated in product, this is your kind of body butter.
A little extra care goes a long way
I started Noraa Body Love because I wanted body care that I actually wanted to use and actually worked on my sensitive skin.
Five years later, that's still what I'm after: products that make everyday routines feel a little more enjoyable without making them complicated.
So, make this routine your own.
